Ich rate von einer Reservierung dieses Autovermieters ab. Wir haben eine Reservierung durch einen Notstand getätigt, da das eigenen Fahrzeug eine Panne hatte musste ein Mietwagen her. Extra zum Flughafen BER gefahren um das reservierte Auto in Empfang zu nehmen, vor Ort kam der Schock, es gab gar kein verfügbares Auto und wir wurden mit einer Selbstverständlichkeit abserviert ohne jegliche angebotene Hilfe. Bitte lieber etwas mehr Geld investieren und dafür auch mit einem seriösen Autovermieter ein Geschäft eingehen. Auf die Rückerstattung des per Vorkasse geleisteten Betrages, warte ich immernoch.

Absolutely shocking! After returning the car today I feel I was tricked and scammed by Budget.

My partner made the reservation for me, paid the full price for the rental for 5 days plus he bought full coverage insurance and paid in full for this also. All I had to do was to collect the car on 24th June, pay the deposit of 200€ and drive away.

Upon collecting the car the young man started talking about additional insurance that I need to pay which was approx 144€, then he made up a sum of total 364.13€ I had to pay before I could drive away. When I questioned this he started getting very annoyed, even though I already had full insurance paid for, and the deposit was supposed be 200€ as was written on my rental voucher. Not knowing what to do and because I needed the car I believed the man and paid the money.

In the rental agreement that I received after taking out the car there appeared extra services with charges against them that we/I never requested yet they were added on without our knowledge. This is unacceptable and I’m pretty certain unlawful to be tricking people in and misleading them into what is being charged.

Upon returning the car, the company attempted at charging again additional 87.66€ with no explanation of what it is, no mention of deposit being returned which I now know is gone looking at the shady tactics of Budget. This is called robbery and is a disgusting behaviour. The office is apparently now closed, I will be questioning all of this on Monday, but I will definitely now leave it like this because what was supposed to be a 249.47+ 64.44 = 313.91 rental turned out to be 313.91 + 364.13 + 87.66 = 765.7 euros!!!!

765.7 euros, I’ve never seen a rental company scamming its customers like this, this is disgraceful and I will be taking it further as it is not acceptable and shocking!!!

Called to extend rental car booking. Waited 20 minutes, then continued to get yelled at by the staff member who answered my call and hung up on me. She insulted me and I did not receive help. A simple "call this number instead" would have been helpful.

If I could I would have just give zero stars, that was the worst experience I flew from London and have just rent a car from them for yesterday In Berlin just for one day only , and when I returned the car , they send me an invoice and they charged my bank £522,18 for no reason and no right THIS IS A SCAM AND STRAIGHT ROBBERY. Is saying I have done 2500,99 km extra!!!!! And how could I do that it’s impossible for someone to do that in a day this is so much it’s a either a bad error or a robbery, and when I called the office then they said I have to call back because the information is not showing in the system yet so I should call back on Monday how unprofessional that is.. a big scam I need my money back and I’m actually going to take this farther as it’s clearly a robbery and I would want this to happen to anybody!

They gave me a car that broke down (day lost plus $100 to get the car running) then switched it with a giant car I can’t afford gas for but assured me at the next place I can switch it. They sent me to four different budgets (another day lost and $70 for gas) each one saying the next will have a small, group A car that I signed up for. None of them had a group A car.

The customer service line isn’t real.

Their slogan of "we try harder" really fell short this afternoon when I was collecting a car from the Berlin airport.

My flight was delayed and somehow the second guy I spoke to said that would contribute to me not get the car I requested. How am I responsible for the flight being delayed, I didn't fly the plane.

Anyway...

I booked for a Mercedes Benz C class or similar, First I was told that they are not available, although there are 6 in the parking bays and was offered a 2 series or BMW X1. Those aren't similar in anyway.

I request to get a better car from the next group. Then was told I couldn't do that because I don't have 2 credit cards.

Surely if they cared to "try harder" they could have arranged for me to get the car I made a reservation for or swiped another card, swiped the card twice, something, anything.

Second guy was not not even trying to listen to solutions and constantly interrupting at every chance, I got frustrated and then he threatened to take the keys they had given me back.

This is the second time i have rented from Avis-Budget Berlin and the last, use the other rental companies that actually try and know that a BMW 2 series isn't similar to a C-class.

Getting the wrong car isn't even my irritation, it's the lack of trying, even when the customer is happy to pay for a higher group car the team on the group couldn't be bothered to help.
